By Car

Please use postcode NE1 4TG in your satellite navigation system. The Gate is located close to St. James Park football ground but the car park can be accessed off Gallowgate. Drive through the Chinese Arch which leads on to St. Andrews and then bear right along Stowell Street. Underground parking at The Gate Car Park is on your left hand side.

Parking

The Gate customers can get up to 6 hours free parking at The Gate Car Park with a valid Cineworld Newcastle cinema ticket and restaurant receipt from one of the participating restaurants in The Gate for the same day. Simply dine before or after your film, present your cinema ticket and meal receipt to the cinema staff and they will validate your parking. You can then exit the car park normally. (The Gate Car Park uses a ticketless system).

Participating restaurants: Pizza Hut, Nando's, Wetherspoon, The Mayfair Pub and Kitchen, The WonderBar and Starbucks (Minimum Spend £5).

By Metro
To reach The Gate by Metro you can exit at either St James’ Park or Haymarket Metro stations. You’ll find The Gate on Newgate Street, opposite Eldon Square shopping centre.
From the Haymarket turn left onto Percy Street, which links in to Newgate Street.
From St James’ Park, head towards St Andrews, crossing Gallowgate and passing under the Chinese Arch. At the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Newgate Street, around the Premiere Inn, and you’ll find The Gate straight ahead.

By Bus
The Gate is only a 5 minute walk away from the Haymarket and Eldon Square bus stations. From the bus station, (with your back to Marks and Spencer) turn left on to Percy Street, which links in to Newgate Street.

By Train
Nearby Newcastle Central station, is only a 10 minute walk from the cinema.
From the station, cross over the road, and turn left. Follow the road round to the right onto Clayton Street. Go straight over the first two cross roads, then turn left onto Newgate Street.
